You have seen that the milk in the saucer cools quicker.

What is the difference?

The surface of the milk in the saucer is larger than that in the tumbler.

So the wider the container the faster it cools.

Why?

Because  more milk is exposed to air in the saucer.

This means the greater the exposure to air, the faster it cools.
